Iraqi telco Asiacell announced on Monday it will collaborate with local OTT and streaming platform 1001 to bundle entertainment content into its subscriber packages.

The partnership deal will give Asiacell users access to 1001’s “Fadshi” Ultimate Lite Package, which includes localized LaLiga coverage, premium access to OSN+ and content from regional companies like Starzplay, Al Sharqiya, Roya Media Group and Rotana, as well as 1001’s own original local productions.

A higher-tier package for Asiacell’s premium customer base includes major football leagues such as the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League, alongside a wide entertainment catalogue featuring Paramount+ and other major international studios.

Asiacell CCO Chra Hussain said the 1001 partnership will give the telco’s digital ecosystem a boost while supporting Iraq’s creative economy.

“Our collaboration with 1001 expands the value of our digital ecosystem and ensures our customers have access to trusted, high-quality entertainment that complements their lifestyles,” he said in a statement.

“This step helps advance Iraq’s media ecosystem and supports a future where creativity and innovation thrive together,” added 1001 CEO Mohsen Khairaldin Garcia.
