TM One and Agrobank to digitally transform agriculture MSMEs

Telekom Malaysia’s enterprise and public sector business solutions arm TM One said on Friday it has formalised a five-year strategic collaboration with Agrobank to boost digital transformation of Malaysia’s agriculture and agro-based MSME sectors.

Under the deal, Agrobank will use TM One’s managed SD-WAN services nationwide to enhance its operational resilience and network performance, as well as improve its cybersecurity posture.

TM One said Agrobank – which is focused on rural and agro-based development – will also leverage the telco’s capabilities to enable financial services, agriculture and digital infrastructure for its customer base, which the bank said will enable “a more inclusive, secure and sustainable future for Malaysia’s agro-economy.”

“The agriculture sector, once regarded as traditional, is now evolving rapidly in tandem with digital progress,” said Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah Raja Hussin, group president and CEO of Agrobank. “The integration of digital solutions demonstrates that agro-based industries are no longer left behind.”

TM One executive VP Shazurawati Abd Karim said the collaboration with Agrobank aligns with the Malaysian government’s National Agrofood Policy (NAP 2.0), and Shared Prosperity Vision 2030 that aim to advance rural digital inclusion, food security and sustainable agricultural innovation.
